About ILP of Alaska
Insurance License Preparation of Alaska (ILP) opened in 1999. Since then, we have been helping folks prepare for the state insurance exams like no other company or organization in Alaska. ILP provides insurance license preparation classes for Property & Casualty, Life and Health, Surplus Lines, Credit Life, Bail Bonds, Alaska Adjuster and Managing General Agent along with the Alaska State Codes required for each. These classes were designed to assist Alaska agencies and financial institutions in licensing their personnel, and for individuals wanting to enter the insurance business. The classes include classroom instruction, books, materials, sample test questions via the internet and the ILP Alaska Code Book. There is no other Code Book in print that is as easy to read and understand as the ILP Code Book.
Surplus Lines licensing classes were introduced in March 2007. We introduced the Bail Bonds class In January 2008 and the Alaska Adjuster license preparation class in April 2008. We just added a study guide for the Managing General Agent license in October 2009. ILP of Alaska is THE place to go if you are looking to get help in passing an Alaska Insurance Exam.
Margaret Varlamos (CPCU, AIC, CIC, AU, LUTC, ACS, FLMI, CISR ) is the owner and primary instructor of ILP. Margaret has been in the insurance industry since 1983. She started out in Omaha, Nebraska as a claims adjuster for life and health insurance.
