After you register for a license preparation class, be sure to complete the following steps:
Pick up material. After you have paid for the class, you can pick up a Study Guide and any other study materials needed to pass the exam. Reviewing the material in advance is very helpful to passing on the first try.
Review the material. At the very least, skim over the Study Guide and any other related materials. Our student feedback has told us that this was very useful for them and helped them better understand the class.
Register for the test. The actual exams are administrated for the State of Alaska by a company called PearsonVue. We strongly recommend taking the test as close to one week after the class as possible – this will leave you a few days to review material and practice taking some tests, but is still soon enough that the material is fresh in your mind.
